What you will do:
Perform service on the HVAC controls, automation and associated low voltage building systems in a fast-paced environment at a manufacturing plant.
Troubleshoot and repair or replace elements of the controls system.
Adjust parameters within the BAS or modify BAS programs to resolve automation issues and to satisfy customer requirements.
The position will be based out of Glendale, KY at a newly constructed electric vehicle battery manufacturing plant.
How you will do it:
Adhere to all Johnson Controls and customer safety standards.
Communicate with the FM team at the start and end of each shift.
Respond to requests for support on the building automation system.
Perform root-cause analysis and resolve issues or implement mitigation measures.
Communicate findings and solutions to the FM team.
In conjunction with the FM team’s Operations Center, monitor the Building Management System for fault, warning or failure conditions, and respond by mitigating and resolving these issues.
Interpret building mechanical schematics, BAS Submittals & Sequences, and electrical line diagrams to resolve BAS-related issues.
Conduct extensive self-study (reading, research and practice) to improve and maintain technical proficiency in JCI’s product lines.
Complete certifications as required by Johnson Controls.
Continuously optimize the Building Systems for improved operation.
Complete a range of recurring preventive maintenance tasks and systems checks to ensure the systems operate optimally.
Perform audits of the controls, including networked devices, to identify potential cyber-security risks and support the FM team with mitigating these risks.
With the support of the team’s energy manager, investigate and implement energy conservation measures in the building automation systems.
Perform other duties as required.
What we look for:
Preferred Education:
2 year technical degree in electronics or electrical engineering, instrumentation, mechatronics, industrial control, or automation engineering.
Preferred Experience:
2 Years industry experience in Building Automation, Process Controls, or Instrumentation Engineering.
Skills and Aptitudes:
Proficient in Microsoft Office suite of tools, specifically Word, Excel, Project.
Troubleshooting and resolving complex technical issues.
Intimately familiar with the means of operating a building with a Building Automation System.
Experience in Facilities Management is an asset.
