Part-Time 7p - 7a
The Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) RN responsible for managing and providing nursing critical care to premature babies, babies who have experienced complications during delivery, or ones who develop problems after birth.
The NICU nurse needs highly specialized skills in the assessment and care of neonates and sick infants.
This includes the immediate, short-term nursing care needs of patients as well as, planning for long-term needs.
The KY Nurse Practice Act and established Hardin policies, procedures and standards of practice, determine the nurse’s scope of practice.
Routinely floats to Mother Baby Care and newborn admission role.
Some call required.
REQUIREMENTS:
Graduate of school of nursing with current unrestricted KY license required, or higher.
Minimum 1 year of Neonatal nursing experience required.
Requires good clinical, organizational, customer service and critical thinking skills.
Basic Life Support (BLS) preferred on hire and required within 90 days of hire.
Flexibility in work schedule, shift hours and job duties are required as well as basic computer skills.
Neonatal Resuscitation training and STABLE course preferred on hire.
Neonatal resuscitation training required within 90 days of hire and STABLE course required within 6 months of hire.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Prefer recent experience in specialty.
