These and more can be found as a team member of BluMine Health!* *The Full Time Onsite Medical Representative’s *role is to provide primary care and wellness services for BluMine clients through a network of shared-site locations.
The Full Time Onsite Medical Representative will work both independently and collaboratively to assist in Occupational Medicine treatments and other primary care and wellness scenarios within their scope of work.
Responsible for requests made by the Providers within the Metalsa clinic.
The Full Time Onsite Medical Representative should demonstrate professional development and clinical competency; knowledge of medical procedures and processes within their scope of work and help to ensure total patient care within the clinic setting.
Patient satisfaction and clear concise communication to the patient and co-workers are key to the success of this role.
Night Shift: 9:00 PM - 5:00 AM *Job Responsibilities: * * Welcomes patients by greeting them, in person or on the telephone; answers or refers inquiries.
* Prepares patients for the health care visit by directing and/or accompanying them to the exam room; provides examination gowns and drapes; helps them to position themselves for the examination and/or treatment; arranges exam room instruments, supplies, and equipment for the Nurse Practitioner when they are in the office.
* Will respond to external aid stations, including 1 off-site aid station, to render aid when requested; also respond to patients on factory floor when requested.
* Verifies patient information by interviewing patient; reviews and/or records medical history; takes vital signs; confirms purpose of visit or treatment.
* Reports to Nurse Practitioner all patient medical history updates and status, as well as reason for current visit.
Charts information appropriately.
* Ensure all patient documents are uploaded to EMR and applicable documents are sent to Metalsa, including injury visit summaries for all injury visits.
* Calls patient on behalf of the Nurse Practitioner when labs or imaging are normal.
Consults with Nurse Practitioner for treatment plan in the case of abnormal lab or imaging results.
* Supports patient care delivery by helping health care providers during examinations; collects, documents and seals urine specimens; transport packaged urine to FedEx drop box at end of shift for lab when non-negative; performs breath alcohol testing; disposes of contaminated supplies; sterilizes medical instruments; administers OTC medications on the premises; changes dressings; cleanses wounds; assists suturing; administer Flu and Strep tests; prepare imaging and lab order for patients; administer Tetanus injections * Arranges transport for patient to receive imaging and be returned to clinic when needed * Educates patients by providing medication and diet information and instructions and answers patient questions.
* Assess and treat traumatic injuries while remaining calm and reassuring the patient.
* Completes records by photographing injuries, recording / charting patient examination, treatment, and test results for any non-provider visit.
* Keeps clinic ready for next visit by cleaning immediately following the patient’s exit.
* Keeps equipment operating by following operating instructions; performs controls on all office equipment; troubleshoots equipment breakdowns and follows manufacture instructions for repair if necessary; performs preventive equipment maintenance.
* Communicate work injury cases to safety staff including return to work/referral status at the end of every visit.
Relay mechanism of injury to safety staff.
* Coordinate with security to guide EMS to pickup location when patients are emergent.
* Utilize ‘Approver’ list prior to commencing BAT/DS testing * Keeps phone, radio and clinic keys on their person while on duty and responds immediately * Coordinate with various medical records departments to obtain patient results or consult notes for referrals and other outside care.
* Ability to be flexible in scheduling when necessary I.

* Possess a positive, team-oriented attitude.
* Communicate with practice manager to replace outdated/broken equipment.
* Understand workman’s comp system to better understand client and patient needs and to shorten patient wait times for referrals.
*Qualifications:* Valid EMT or Paramedic License in the State of Kentucky.
1 year experience preferred.
