As a Medical Assistant, you will administer and coordinate medical services necessary while creating a positive patient experience within the facility.
You will also be responsible for performing routine administrative and clinical responsibilities.

One (1) year working experience as a medical assistant.
Must maintain continuing education credits as required by the state employed • Ability to administer medications.
CPR (Cardiopulmonary resuscitation), First Aid, and BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.
• Preferred Graduation of a post-secondary medical assisting education program accredited by an agency recognized by the U.
S.
Department of Education.
Current certification from the Certifying Board of the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA), or registration from the American Medical Technologists (AMT), or the National Center for Competency Training (NCCT), or any recognized certifying body approved by the Board.
CNA (Certified Nursing Assistant), RMA (Registered Medical Assistant).
Two (2) years’ experience or knowledge in the field of behavioral health recommended.
Responsibilities: Assist with Purchasing and ordering of medical supplies.
Attend team meetings and complete all training courses timely as required.
Medication observation of self-administration of medications that are non-controlled at designated medication times.
Collect vital signs as ordered.
Report abnormal findings to nursing staff on shift.
• Assist with admissions consents at times when admission staff are not present.
Assist with Nursing Intakes by collecting vitals, urine drug screen, pregnancy test, breathalyzers, and document in patients medical record.
Connect patient with Regional Assessment Nursing for initial nursing assessment.
Daily observed urine drug screens – Review results and enter results into the patient's medical record.
Assist with provider lists and Telehealth visits for Psych/NP, APRN, and medical doctor.
Room rounds for patients.
Perform property and physical searches at time of admission and when needed.
Assist the team in AMA blocking Provide patients with medical transportation and keep track of mileage logs/gas card receipts Job Description – Medical Assistant 2 Complete Critical Incident Reports in IRIS (Incident Reporting and Investigation System) Assist with facilitating daily bed moves when needed.
Assist in preparing patient rooms for late admissions.
Assist in waking patients up in AM.
Facilitate and or assist with Physical Health group.
Other duties as assigned.
