*Position: *Transportation Operations Assistant (TOA)
*Reports To: *Director of Transportation
*Summary:* The Transportation Operations Assistant provides clerical and administrative support for the
Transportation Operations Coordinator.
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to data entry; greeting clients, drivers, and visitors; and handling incoming calls.
*Position Type: *Non-Exempt Position - Full-Time
*Salary: *Monday - Friday 9am-5pm\* (\*Flexibility to changes in schedule and duties as needed)
*Duties and Responsibilities: *
* Transportation Operations Assistant (TOA) \*
* Prepares data for computer entry by compiling and sorting information
* Maintaining, and entering information into databases
* Entering data by inputting alphabetic and numeric information on keyboard according to screen format
* Verify entered data by reviewing, correcting, deleting, or reentering data.
* Handle incoming calls and other communications.
* Managing filing system
* Greeting and directing clients and visitors as needed.
* Updating paperwork, maintaining documents and word processing
* Helping organize and maintain office common areas.
* Performing general office clerk duties and errands
* Non-Emergency Medical Transport Driver \*
* Operate agency vehicle in a safe, efficient and courteous manner to destinations as directed by daily schedules and transportation operations staff requests.
* Communicate via telephone in a safe and courteous manner.
* Provide assistance to passengers as necessary including fastening safety belts, entering/exiting vehicles.
* Assist disabled passengers when appropriate with wheelchairs or other mobility aids.
* Accurately complete daily manifests, maintenance, and fuel reports.
* nspect vehicle and report any maintenance issues to supervisor.
Keep an accurate and thorough record of such checks and maintenance performed.
* Inform operations personnel of client concerns or incidents as required.
* Report any accidents immediately to the transportation operations coordinator.
* Comply with all applicable local, state and federal transportation regulations relating to vehicle operation and safety-sensitive employees.
* Adhere to a flexible schedule that may require changes to responsibilities and assignments according to staff availability and business fluctuations.
* Attend all mandatory/applicable training sessions (i.
e.
First Aid CPR, Passenger Assistance), staff meetings, drivers meetings, etc.
* Handle any emergency in a calm and professional manner in accordance with agency policies.
* Maintain the interior and exterior cleanliness of assigned vehicles.
* Perform other duties as assigned.
*Education and Training: *
* High School Diploma or equivalent.
* Upon employment must agree to regular training and certification in but not limited to: passenger assistance, wheelchair securement; first aid, CPR, defensive driving, and bloodborne pathogens.

*Requirements: *
* Past experience in passenger transportation or data entry is preferred but not required.
* Applicant must be at least 18 years old and possess a valid Kentucky Drivers License.
* Applicants/employees must have a clean driving record.
Commercial Drivers License may be required for operation of some vehicles.
* Applicant must have knowledge of basic vehicle maintenance and safety procedures.
All drivers must have excellent map reading ability and sufficient knowledge of local streets, roads, and highways.
* Applicant and employees undergo pre-employment, routine, and random: background checks; driving record verifications; & drug and alcohol testing; DOT Physical Certifications.
* Drivers must maintain a high level of professionalism, demonstrated by a positive attitude, ability to function as a team member and a commitment to the overall mission of the agency.
* All drivers must have flexibility and willingness to changes in schedule and duties as needed according to staff availability.
