Responsibilities:
- Provide therapy services to clients, including patient assessment, treatment planning, and implementation of therapeutic interventions.
- Conduct individual and group therapy sessions using evidence-based practices such as cognitive behavioral therapy and applied behavior analysis.
- Develop and implement behavior management plans to address challenging behaviors and promote positive outcomes.
- Collaborate with other members of the treatment team to ensure coordinated care and effective treatment planning.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records, including progress notes and treatment plans.
- Provide crisis management services as needed, including assessing risk and implementing appropriate interventions.
- Collaborate with families and caregivers to provide education and support related to therapy goals and strategies.
- Stay current on best practices in therapy techniques and interventions through ongoing professional development.
Requirements:
- Master's degree in psychology, counseling, social work, or a related field.
- Valid license or certification as a therapist (e.
g.
, Licensed Professional Counselor, Licensed Clinical Social Worker).
- Experience working with children and adolescents, particularly those with special needs or behavioral challenges.
- Knowledge of evidence-based therapeutic approaches, such as cognitive behavioral therapy and applied behavior analysis.
- Strong assessment skills to develop individualized treatment plans based on client needs.
- Ability to effectively manage crisis situations and provide appropriate interventions.
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate with clients, families, and other members of the treatment team.
- Experience in psychotherapy techniques for various mental health conditions, such as PTSD care.
