Topaz Fiscal Services is seeking a Regional Director of Clinical Nursing Services for multiple nursing facilities around the State of Kentucky.
The overall purpose of the Regional Director of Clinical Nursing Services is to act as a primary resource person for designated region and facility management teams.
This position requires working closely with the COO as well as the administrators and Directors of Nursing at these facilities.
The successful will provide professional nursing expertise in the assessment of patient needs, development of action plans, aiding in goal accomplishment, and monitoring progress.
Provide information, instruction, and direction of facility nursing staff to assure the best possible level of care to residents consistent with nursing standards.
Provide accurate, timely advice and consultation, and interpretation of governmental regulations applicable nursing services and activities.
The ideal candidate will have experience as a corporate manager over more than one facility.
Position Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
Evaluate facility compliance to clinical policy, procedure, and care.
Visit facilities weekly for intervention, audit and training.
Train new nursing management.
Monitor readiness for State Survey and assist during surveys
Aid in the Plan of Correction process
Routinely visit assigned facilities to review/monitor/audit the quality of care provided to residents.
Assess the knowledge, skills, techniques, procedures, and performance of the nursing staff.
Review the clinical record documentation for accuracy, timeliness, and applicability.
Identify and evaluate areas of concern pursuant to quality resident care, and as it relates to state and federal regulations.
In conjunction with the facility director of nursing and/or administrator, assist with the development of action plans to address concerns, correct problems, or implement new/changed procedures.
Reports findings, conclusions, actions, and plans to clinical services, administrator and /or director of nursing as appropriate.
Provide education and in-service training on topics to include but not limited to techniques, procedures, regulations, company policies and other information
Review and analyze state survey and quality assurance results to aid in need assessments and development of action plans.
Participate in the process of selection for the Director of Nursing positions, and may make employment recommendations.
Facilitate the coordination of training and orientation for new directors of nursing.
May in the absence of the director of nursing or administrator, offer guidance in the assignment and delegation of nursing supervisory responsibilities as appropriate to assure quality of resident care.

e.
job fair, health care convention)

Job Requirements:
Current RN license, BSN preferred, in the State of Kentucky.
At least 5 years of supervisory experience in Long Term Care and Nursing Consulting
Previous DON experience preferred
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to multi-task and oversee functions at multiple facilities on a daily basis
Ability to travel throughout region
Must maintain current CPR certification
