Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Billing Specialist to join Unbound's team.
As a Billing Specialist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate and timely billing processes related to addiction recovery services.
You will be responsible for handling various aspects of billing, insurance claims, and reimbursement procedures while maintaining compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
Responsibilities:

Monitor the complete billing cycle, including accurate data entry, submission, and reconciliation of claims for addiction recovery services.

Verify insurance coverage and benefits for patients undergoing addiction recovery treatment.
3.
Review and interpret insurance policies, contracts, and billing guidelines to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
4.
Work closely with clients, insurance companies, and internal staff to resolve billing inquiries and discrepancies in a timely manner.
5.
Collaborate with the clinical and administrative teams to ensure accurate documentation and coding of services provided.
6.
Generate and analyze billing reports to identify trends, errors, and opportunities for process improvement.
7.
Stay informed about changes in insurance regulations, coding guidelines, and industry standards related to addiction recovery billing practices.
8.
Assist with the development and implementation of billing policies, procedures, and training programs for staff members.
9.
Maintain confidentiality of patient information and adhere to HIPAA guidelines and ethical standards in all billing activities.
10.
Assist site coordinator and team supervisors to ensure staff productivity and efficiency.
Requirements:

Proven experience as a Billing Specialist, preferably in a healthcare or addiction recovery setting.
2.
Strong understanding of medical billing and coding principles, including CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS codes.
3.
Proficiency in using billing software, electronic health records (EHR), and Microsoft Office applications.
4.
Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
5.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
6.
Knowledge of insurance verification processes, claims submission, and reimbursement procedures.
7.
Familiarity with Medicaid, Medicare, commercial insurance, and third-party payer requirements.
8.
Ability to maintain professionalism, integrity, and confidentiality in all interactions with patients and stakeholders.
9.
Certification in medical billing and coding (e.
