A tier one supplier of fuel system parts to the automotive industry, has immediate openings for *a Night shift Quality Control Team Leader*.
*New 12 hour shift.
*
*Summary:*
Intent of this role is to inspect and verify products conform to customer’s quality and delivery requirements.
*Essential Job Functions:*
· Lead shift quality activities while assisting in the performance of these activities as well as filling in for absent team members.
(TL is a working TL which means they have to support with testing as needed).
· Demonstrate a collaborative work style with other departments.
· Motivate and lead team members, promote teamwork, and cooperation through positive coaching.
· Ability to train others and trouble shoot basic issues with limited supervision.
· Ability to lead kaizen activities and recommend improvements based on daily activity
· Understand KPIs and capable of monitoring and managing KPIs
· Ensure inspection requirements are completed on time daily
· Ensure quality records (hard and soft copies) are completed accurately and stored properly.
· Ensure team members conform to safety requirements, i.
e.
, proper dress, wearing of required PPE, etc.
· Ensure 5S and environmental compliance initiatives are followed.
· Communicate quality issues to QC Manager/Specialist daily or by shift as needed and work with other leads or guide team members to trouble shoot quality issues
*MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:*
*Knowledge / Education:*
· GED or High School diploma
· Basic math
· Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
*Skills:*
· Effective Organizational and Time Management skills
· Self-starter with little to no direct supervision
· Utilize gages, and other diagnostic / measurement devices to verify product integrity
· Utilize bandsaw, rotozip and other shop equipment / tools
· Advanced problem-solving ability for quality issues
*Abilities:*
· Capable of multitasking and adjusting to changing priorities
· Must be able to meet flexible work hours as needed to complete job assignments (example: come in early or work over in order to help cover other shifts due to absenteeism or work a split shift)
· Support by running the quality gate and FFP process if needed
o Standing and handling tanks at the final inspection process to find and record quality issues
o Checking all FFP lab requirements
*Work Conditions:*
Standing, walking, and carrying loads up to 40lbs in the lab and on the floor
*Schedule:*
Shifts will rotate every week.
Ex: Week: 1 M, Tu, Sa, Su and Week 2: W, Th, F.
Additional days may be required for team leaders.
(This schedule could change based on business need)
