Overview: The Plant Human Resource Manager is a strategic leader for the business and directs the main responsibilities of the Human Resource (HR) department including employee engagement, talent strategy, plant leadership support, recruiting, administering pay, benefits, leave, and managing company policies and practices.
The Sr.
HRM will also manage the Site People Plan, which synthesizes all site strategies, initiatives and needs into one plan.
The position is responsible for aligning business objectives with plant team members and leadership at the Horse Cave manufacturing site.
The Sr.
HR Manager serves as a business partner to plant leadership on human capital related issues.
They will act as a team member champion and change agent.
The position leads an agile HR team to serve key internal customers supporting their talent needs to drive the Horse Cave business.
Responsibilities: Serve as the HR business partner to the manufacturing site leader, as part of the plant leadership team, and support to all people leaders at the location.
Partners to create strategic plant business plan and provides strategic HR guidance to plant managers and senior leadership, aligning HR initiatives with business objectives.
Provides strategic HR support by facilitating succession planning, career pathing and the performance appraisal process.
Understands and executes the plant’s human resource, labor relations and talent strategies.
This includes the organization's human resource strategy so that the organization attracts, manages, develops and retains the employees it needs to achieve its current and future business objectives.
Lead and develop site HR team members; accomplish work through the extended HR team.
Manage their day-to-day work and ensure that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhered to approved budgets.
Provide support and guidance to plant leadership team and advise on organizational policy matters and recommend needed changes.
Provide clear leadership by demonstrating understanding of business performance, strategy, trends and needs.
Embed a culture of continuous improvement and effective change management as the People Development Pillar Lead driving the people strategy through our business operation system, World Class Manufacturing (WCM) Analyze statistical data and reports to identify and determine causes of personnel problems and develop recommendations for improvement of plant’s policies and practices.
Build, deploy and execute strategic talent initiatives and utilize centers of excellence (COEs), Corp HR, and analytics to support business needs.
Partner with the business to drive succession planning and talent management by identifying high impact/critical roles, developing incumbents and successors, as well as identifying mobility opportunities and candidates Qualifications: BS/BA degree in HR or similar field preferred, or equivalent work experience.
8+ years prior experience in HR with the Company or equivalent job experience with at least 5 years in a manufacturing environment.
Knowledge of and able to use Microsoft office tools.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Ability to take on great capacity, prioritize, focus and execute.
Highly effective in influencing and using critical thinking to drive the “solve for”.
Applies situational leadership to appropriate stakeholders and business conditions.
Capable of taking concepts/project and self creating presentations, frameworks and using templates True understanding of business partnership, understands the business strategies and interprets the talent tactics required to support those strategies.
High levels of resourcefulness, influence/organizational savvy, execution skills (strategy through implementation).
Supervisory Responsibility: This position has six (6) direct reports.
Three (3) HR Generalists, two (2) HR Coordinators and one (1) Training Manager.

Periodic travel to each plant by auto or air travel is required.
