Position Description :
JOIN OUR TEAM to assist and prepare over 200,000 Servicemen and women who separate annually from the United States Military begin a new life chapter as a civilian.
Many of those who separate from the military have transition plans while others find becoming a civilian a daunting task.
The Department of Labor (DOL) Veterans’ Employment and Training Service (VETS) program requires contractor services to support these transitioning Servicemen and women through its highly successful Transition Assistance Program (TAP) that is offered world-wide to conduct job assistance workshops, employment counseling, apprenticeship program placements and employer outreach.
Serco is looking for an experienced Program Support Specialist assisting management or clients by analyzing and coordinating services such as client programs, human resources, budget preparation and control, equipment utilization, records control, and special management studies by performing the following duties:
In this role, you will:
Review, prepare, develop, and modify reports and/or client programs and policies.
Assign Facilitators to weekly and monthly class schedules, verify facilitators' availability and base access, and find replacement facilitators as needed
Perform various clerical and administrative support tasks.
Review travel authorization requests and expense reports and track travel expenses.
Assist with the coordination of virtual platform licenses.
Maintain staffing rosters, access to training database, as well as track training completion status.
Assist with timekeeping processes.
Coordinate meetings and take meeting minutes.
Serve as office manager of PMO office in Elizabethtown, KY, to include the submission of work orders, ordering of office supplies, shipping and receiving of contract communications and materials
Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you will have:
A High School Diploma and 4 years of related administrative and/or office management experience.
OR a Bachelor's degree.
Must be proficient in MS Windows and Office.
Must be able to communicate orally and in writing.
Must be familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures.
Must be able to lift boxes weighing up to 50lbs.
Must be available to work in person out of office in Elizabethtown, KY on a daily basis.
